Running / Racewalking Association

The CMRA is a non-profit all-volunteer organization that promotes running, racewalking, and fitness by regularly sponsoring distance running-related activities including races, fun runs, training sessions, and social events. Membership and activities are open to people of all ages, abilities, and levels of fitness with awards oriented toward athletes age 35 and older.

Annual dues for Calendar Year 2010 continue to be $25 for individuals and $35 for families with an additional $5.00 if you wish to have the newsletter mailed. The 2010 application is available under the "Club Information / Application" heading below.

In accordance with the CMRA High School Runner Initiative, high school track and cross country runners may participate in any and all club events for only $10 for 2009.

For club members who may be interested in running the Rock'n'Roll Denver Marathon for a cause, the American Cancer Society has a race entry / training program. Participant carrots include:

  • A Training Program including Personal Best Marathon Coaching for those in the Denver metro area and Training Peaks or online outside of the area
  • DetermiNation Discounts at the Boulder Running Company - Littleton
  • A great tech race day jersey
  • Training tech tee
  • Fundraising support (help with ideas, carrying these out)
  • The opportunity to dedicate your hard work to those affected by cancer
  • Race weekend VIP experience
    • private changing rooms
    • bathrooms
    • massage therapists
    • exclusive pre and post race tent (at the Rock N Roll Seattle, we were the only tent there with tables, food, etc besides Team in Training)
  • DetermiNation dinner for you and your guests on race weekend
  • Free race entry! Right now the 1/2 is 95.00 and the full is 115.00
These rock n roll races have bands at every mile and a headliner concert (TBA)

The fundraising minimum is 1,250.00 due on November 1, 2010.

The annual meeting next year will be at the clubhouse at the Fox Hollow Golf Course on January 22, 2011. The clubhouse is just east of the Bear Creek Lake Dam. More details will be posted later.
